Thornham Marina Useful Information
Here we have put together some information for customers and visitors to Thornham Marina
We strongly recommend that all Children and Non-swimmers wear a lifejacket at all times whilst on the pontoons.
Car Park
The main marina car park is situated opposite to the Marina Office outside the barrier. Additional spaces are available on site. Please ask the yard staff for details. If you are leaving your vehicle to go sailing please ensure it is parked in the car park and not in the yard.
Chandlery
The nearest Chandlery is in Emsworth Yacht Harbour 2 minutes drive away
Contractors
Should you require any repair work carried out on your vessel while at the marina by an outside contractor, they must have the appropriate insurance and provide a copy to the marina office before carrying out any work. Please ensure your contractors register with the Marina Office upon arrival.
We do have a list of contractors with the appropriate insurance.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Please prevent them from fouling and should an accident happen please clean it up!
Electricity
Supplied at user’s risk and subject to availability.

Flare Disposal
Out of date flares should be disposed of responsibly by delivering them to your local Coastguard Station; you should contact them in advance to ensure they have available storage space. Please do not place flares in refuse bins.
Fuel
We have no refuelling facilities at the marina; the nearest fuel is at Emsworth Yacht Harbour.
Gas
Calor gas and camping gas are available from Emsworth Town or Emsworth Yacht Harbour.
Harbour Dues
All berth holders are required to pay Harbour Dues to the Chichester Harbour Conservancy. Leaflets can be obtained from the marina office.
Hazardous Waste
A waste oil tank, battery box and special bins for the disposal of oil filters and waste rag are available within the marina. Please do not dispose of these items in the normal rubbish bins.
Local Interest/Entertainment
Emsworth only a 5 minute drive away has a wide variety of pubs and restaurants. On site we have Boaters bar and restaurant which is open daily. From the marina there are also nature walks along the shore with an abundance of wildlife.
Marina Office
Open 0800 - 1630 Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year. If the office is unattended please locate one of the yard staff if you require anything.

Marina Regulations
These can be found in the Marina office. It will be assumed that all customers have read, understood and will abide by these regulations.
Medical Emergencies
Should you require the services of a doctor, dentist or hospital, please see a member of staff who will give you the necessary information and/or directions.
Refuse Disposal
A waste disposal and recycling area is situated on the main road in the marina, for the disposal of refuse, bottles, cardboard and paper. Refuse containers are also situated near the pontoons and toilets. They are for dry non-toxic general waste. A foul pump-out facility is available in Chichester Harbour at Itchenor Hard, near the Harbour Conservancy Office.
Security
The marina is regularly patrolled by our yard staff. Access to the marina is via the gate. A coded key fob is required to operate the gate, which can be obtained from the Marina Office. Please do not pass the key fob on to third parties.
Shops
Emsworth Town is only a 5min drive away.
Speed Limit
There is a speed limit of 8 knots in the harbour, which is enforced by Conservancy Officers. Inside the marina, boats should proceed at minimum speed.
Telephone
An emergency telephone is located by the door to the marina office.
Toilets/Showers
These are situated by the large green Covercare workshop. Please note, the use of marine toilets in the marina is forbidden.
Trolleys
Luggage trolleys are available near the Marina Office. Please return them to this point once you have used them. IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN FOR ANYONE TO RIDE IN THE TROLLEYS.
Urgent Messages
Urgent messages for berth holders/visitors should be logged with the Marina Office.
VHF
The marina is contactable by VHF on channel 80 callsign Thornham Marina.
Water
Fresh water is available from the taps on the pontoons and around the yard. Please run the tap for a few minutes prior to filling your tanks. Please do not leave any hoses attached to the taps as it is against current regulations. Customers must provide their own hoses. Please conserve water usage when washing down and turn the water off when not required.

Weather and Tidal information are available daily from the marina office.
