Chichester Harbour Conservancy looks after the harbour and collect the harbour dues. They are the official organisation that protects and enhances this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and were set up by an Act of Parliament in 1971. For more information about what they do, please visit their excellent website. For an interview with the Harbour Master we recorded at Thornham Marina please click here Chichester Harbour Moorings are available at Thornham on an annual basis or just overnight. We often get visitors staying for a few days, perhaps visiting friends in the area. And we often welcome them back every year.
Sailing in Chichester Harbour is extremely popular and for good reason. There are miles of safe and sheltered channels. And a short trip to the Isle of Wight or to our sister Marina Trafalgar Wharf in Portchester is a great way to spend the day.
The historic city of Chichester is a short 10-minute taxi ride away from Thornham, with its great restaurants and mix of shops. And there are many fine pubs to visit around Chichester Harbour. Ask us for our recommendations!
